What is the Equity Project?

The Equity Project is a first-of-its-kind, social movement that aims to address social issues in WA that relate to poverty and disadvantage.

Rather than just rely on the government, we understand that solutions, ideas, action, and strength often comes directly from the people.

With that, The Equity Project’s attention is focussed on informing, uniting, and mobilising new audiences, and through them, ending poverty and disadvantage in WA.

The Equity Project has three clear pathways to achieve economic fairness and tackle poverty in WA.

We want to:

  1. Drive public policy and systemic change with real world solutions
  2. Strengthen public support through citizen-led action
  3. Amplify the voices of people with lived experience of poverty.

Pathways to Change

We aim to:

  • Achieve public policy and systemic change to increase fairness and economic justice in WA.
  • Strengthen public support, and enable citizen-led action, to increase fairness, economic justice and compassion.
  • Amplify the voice of people with lived experience of poverty.
  • Promote solutions and policies that work towards achieving a fair and economically just society.
